Amazing Facts about Jellyfish
1.
Jellyfish first appeared about 650 million years ago and are found in
every ocean, from the surface to the deep sea. Some are also found in
fresh water
2. A group of jellyfish is called a bloom or swarm
3. Jellyfish do not have a respiratory system since their skin is thin enough that the body is oxygenated by diffusion
4. Jellyfish do not have a brain or central nervous system, but rather
have a loose network of nerves, located in the epidermis, which is
called a “nerve net.”
5. Jellyfish are composed of more than
90% water. Most of their umbrella mass is a gelatinous material (the
jelly) called mesoglea, which is surrounded by two layers of cells which
forms the umbrella (top surface). The subumbrella (bottom surface) of
the body is known as the bell
6. Jellyfish are dioecious; that
is, they are either male or female. In most cases, to reproduce, both
males and females release sperm and eggs into the surrounding water,
where the (unprotected) eggs are fertilized and mature into new
organisms
7. Box jellyfish venom is the most deadly in the
animal kingdon and has caused at least 5,568 recorded deaths since 1954.
Each tentacle has about 500,000 sindasites which are harpoon shaped
needles that inject venom into the victim
8. The lion’s mane
jellyfish is the largest known species of jellyfish. The Arctic Lion’s
mane jellyfish is one of the longest known animals and the largest
recorded specimen had a bell (body) with a diameter of 2.3 m (7 feet 6
inches) and the tentacles reached 36.5 m (120 feet). It was found washed
up on the shore of Massachusetts Bay in 1870

World's Longest Car - The Limousine
According to Guinness World Records, the longest car ever made is a 30.5-m long (100-ft), 26-wheeled limousine, brainstormed by Jay Ohrberg of Burbank, California, USA.
This limousine rides on 26 tires spaced along the length of its body. It possesses 2 drivers’ cabins in the front and in the back as it’s actually difficult to drive such a car. In order the limousine could turn and make turns around corners, its middle part is hinged to fold.
The longest car in the world is better fashioned than several Hollywood mansions, along with luxuries like a large Jacuzzi tub, a sun deck, a helipad, a swimming pool (with a diving board of course), a king sized bed and a satellite dish, just to name a few.

World's top eight unusual plants
Drakaea glyptodon
Drakaea is an orchid that is native to Australia. Orchids in this species are generally called "Hammer Orchids". A very
interesting little orchid that believes on small native wasps to fertilize the
flowers. The flowers give off a pheromone like scent that mimics a female wasp
in order to attract the male.
Amorphophallus
The famed flower plant known for its gigantic size, rotten-meat fragrance and
phallic shape. Amorphophallus titanum also known as the "corpse plant," "corpse
flower" and "titan arum" which grows to 20 feet high.
Hydnora africana
Hyndora africana is one of the most bizarre-looking plants on the
African continent and absolutely not the most common of plants to be encountered
in the veld on any casual hike.
Rafflesia arnoldii
The flower with the world's largest bloom is the Rafflesia arnoldii. This
unusual flower is found in the rainforests of Indonesia. It can grow to be 3
feet across and weigh up to 15 pounds! It is a parasitic plant, with no visible
leaves, roots, or stem. It bonds itself to a host plant to obtain water and
nutrients. When in bloom, the Rafflesia eliminates a repulsive odor, similar to
that of rotting meat. This odor attracts insects that pollinate the plant.
Dracunculus vulgaris
A dashing, good looking plant but don't stand too close when the flower is set
for pollination.
Wolffia angusta
Wolffia angusta, the tiny green specks growing between Spirodela polyrhiza and Azolla filiculoides.Wolffia angusta is one of the smallest flowering plants in the world.
Wollemia nobilis
This bizarre-looking tree was recognized only from 120 million-year-old fossil
leaves before 1994; fewer than one hundred exist in the wild. They have unusual
bark that looks like bubbles of chocolate, multiple trunks, and ferny-looking
leaves growing in curves. They can grow up to 125 feet high.
Welwitschia mirabilis
This sensuous plant can live up to 1,500 years and is only situated in a strip of land in the Namibia Desert comprising part of Namibia and Angola. It can survive on moisture from fog and dew.It consists of 2 leaves that grow continuously, a stem base and roots. It is thought to be a relic from the Jurassic Period.

Incredible colorful Striped Icebergs
Icebergs themselves are amazing natural creations.Icebergs are formed when large blocks of ice breaks off from glaciers
ice shelf and is floating in open water. Because glaciers are built up
from snow falling on the Antarctic continent over millennia, this ice
consists of pure fresh water. This floating chunk of freshwater ice then
interacts with seawater beneath them it.

World's First Motorcycle (1885) - Daimler's riding car
The First Motorcycle was designed and built by the German inventors Gottlieb Daimler and Wilhelm Maybach in Bad Cannstatt (Stuttgart) in 1885.It looks like an instrument of torture.
It had a 264-cubic-centimetre (16.1 cu in) single-cylinder Otto cycle four-stroke engine mounted on rubber blocks, with two iron tread wooden wheels and a pair of spring-loaded outrigger wheels to help it remain upright. It was essentially a motorized bicycle, although the inventors called their invention the Reitwagen ("riding car"). It was also the first petroleum-powered vehicle.

Pretending to eat food can reduce your cravings for it!
This is totally based on a phenomenon called "habituation". This happens when food becomes less attractive the more you eat it. For example, how the first bite of something is always better than, say, the tenth. Researchers are finding out that this process happens in your mind. So is you trick your mind into thinking that you are already eating, you will feel less of a desire to eat!
